Many people consider owning property very risky in Spain because the local law protects the habitants of the residence. I wrote for example blog post about it called "<a href="https://parmvoo.blogspot.com/2016/05/how-to-live-for-free-in-spain.html">how to live for free in Spain</a>". Still Antó has invested in real estate properties which were occupied by squatters. He classified squatters in three categories: squatters who see occupying a residence as a right, squatters who do business by occupying residences and squatters who do it because they don't have any other way to find a roof on top of their head.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Antó explained how you have to negotiate with the squatters before you invest in the property. Often you need to pay the squatters some thousands of euros to make a deal with them. You have to be able to trust their word, because legal contracts don't weigh much in their case. In Barcelona there is a valued neighborhood with good location called Grácia, where some buildings have been occupied for years and would interest investors. Still reaching a deal with squatters has been impossible and the buildings remain occupied. For example buildings where there are living squatters from different ethnic groups makes negotiating complicated. For the landlards Antó adivces to always have an insurance in case the tenant doesn't pay the rent.</p>Juho Juvonenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01008801297613002279noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-181586555331495607.post-87388750460565193052024-02-25T09:25:00.000+02:002024-02-25T09:25:13.986+02:00Does eating in a lunch buffet help muscle gain?<p style="text-align: justify;">Last year on March I went to InBody body composition analysis. 9 months later on December, I went to the same analysis to see the results. I kept my training regime the same as before the 1st analysis but I started to eat more by eating in the lunch buffet 3 times a week. Eating enough to gain mass has been a challange for me. The result was that I gained weight 2,5 KG. My muscle mass increased 0,6 KG and fat mass increased 1,7 KG. Which means that the rest of the difference was water. During the 9 month period I would have liked to have longer training sessions. I felt that it would be nice to train more. Basically I ate too much or I should have trained more in order to avoid gaining fat mass. My coclusion is that gaining muscle mass is tough.</p>Juho Juvonenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01008801297613002279noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-181586555331495607.post-17194622065735606272024-01-29T18:05:00.002+02:002024-01-30T13:14:41.802+02:00Lack of workforce<p style="text-align: justify;">In the Finnish media there is a discussion going on how workforce is needed in Finland. Many politicians say that Finland needs more immigrants but in the same time there are educated immigrants in Finland who say that <a href="https://www.is.fi/menaiset/ilmiot/art-2000010029547.html">how difficult it is to get a job in Finland</a>. Often the <a href="https://yle.fi/a/74-20071518">lack of fluency in Finnish</a> leanguage makes entering the workforce difficult, especially in the white collar jobs. Reasons what I have not seen discussed in media why Finland is not attracting highly educated and skilled workforce is <a href="https://parmvoo.blogspot.com/2023/04/unmotivating-progressive-income-taxation.html?_sm_au_=iVVr85Kq44bRkckq01HLBKHtfk18G">progressive income taxation</a> and comparatevily low income level. If you are a top earner in Finland you take care of your own house work for example take care of the garden in the summer, clean the snow in the winter, clean your house, take care of your kids etc. In India or in Colombia you might get paid about the same in similar level job but you can afford to pay someone else to take care of these kind of things. One with high level of income can think is it nicer live with benefits of a society with low income level differences or in a society with high income level differences.</p>Juho Juvonenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01008801297613002279noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-181586555331495607.post-22033380262959570482023-12-30T08:19:00.002+02:002023-12-30T08:19:54.478+02:00Winter cycling<p style="text-align: justify;"></p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggpLGuRzIjZn9W9nUcn9UAXiPRkWpZUqytWoxdDUCX1nT-78dEHsUyR15TvVV4mGrYtKtH00NYrCNhhztutXQkFEoZlAGwx18zHftdRszNtHCodzi8Z21qj_IwGh_ExwBnA-pbth794qiviaWeYt3Fc6oBl29-HmXscQFoT9bpwMbLWNQwBpgw_Kp2MXTp/s4000/20231213_164812.jpg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3000" data-original-width="4000" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggpLGuRzIjZn9W9nUcn9UAXiPRkWpZUqytWoxdDUCX1nT-78dEHsUyR15TvVV4mGrYtKtH00NYrCNhhztutXQkFEoZlAGwx18zHftdRszNtHCodzi8Z21qj_IwGh_ExwBnA-pbth794qiviaWeYt3Fc6oBl29-HmXscQFoT9bpwMbLWNQwBpgw_Kp2MXTp/s320/20231213_164812.jpg" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Winter road home</td></tr></tbody></table><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">The landscape has been covered with snow the whole December in my sourroundings but I have been still <a href="https://parmvoo.blogspot.com/2021/02/cycling-again.html">cycling</a> to work regularly. Now about 20 years later the first Amazing Race Finland is aired. It has been entertaining to watch the Finnish show and witness the couples competing in diffrent countries. The tasks give nice insights to the local cultures and traditions. In the Finnish show the competitors have been strugling the most with the music related tasks. I would like to see transitions between the tasks being travelled more often by public transportation like local bus lines, metro or train. I feel like travelling by taxi is giving easy way out to the next destination. The competition also makes you speak to the locals in order to progress fast in the race. Though the interaction is very short as competitors want to advance fast to their next destination. As the Finnish competition is approaching to the end I feel like the physically strongest couples have been able reach the top positions.</p>Juho Juvonenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01008801297613002279noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-181586555331495607.post-39377500401030080792023-10-29T16:04:00.003+02:002023-10-31T14:07:11.043+02:00Reading list 2023<p>I had a break from reading but now I have returned back to reading. Finish newssites <a href="https://www.hs.fi/kaupunki/art-2000009573697.html">HS</a>, <a href="https://www.mtvuutiset.fi/artikkeli/asuntomarkkinoilla-ostaja-vahvoilla-nyt-ehdottomasti-se-paikka-ostaa-asunto/8724986">MTV</a> and <a href="https://areena.yle.fi/1-66258519">YLE</a>. I saw an apartment on sale downstairs of my current rental building so I decided to do the math. I calculated what would be the monthly cost if I bought the apartment that is now listed for 300k EUR debt-free. The current 5 % interest rate with 30 years payback time for the 300k EUR mortgage would mean 1 576 EUR monthly down payment. Together with the fixed housing costs monthly costs would be 2250 EUR if I bought the apartment. Now I'm living in a rental apartment which is exactly the same size 55 squere meters and upstairs in the same building. My rent is 1 200 EUR so thanks to living in a rental apartment my monthly costs are 1 050 EUR below house owners monthly costs. My conclusion is that for me it doesn't make sense to buy an apartment with the current price level. Naturally numbers are not the only factors whether you decide to live in a rental apartment or not but in my case that would be basically the only difference.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Also Finnish FIRE blog Omavaraisuushaaste published<a href="https://www.omavaraisuushaaste.com/vuokra-asuminen-vai-omistusasuminen/"> a nice post about the topic</a>, where some addtional examples from various cities in Finland are shared. </p>Juho Juvonenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01008801297613002279noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-181586555331495607.post-23719183701710227092023-07-14T21:34:00.001+03:002023-07-14T21:34:35.501+03:00Suitcase childhood<p style="text-align: justify;"></p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5GD0ZXJ35dzV0v7oJF-zm8a8SD8mh6eI2XKPJTE7dQvNeq8eqfk3sK40kNNkAsvIn_beq8UAS4IE1Z8iGNj0qDE_X9d0G9GVkgo7BLJIfF17rxprWfgdsJc8aFlNskTen-2ywPQsAd6FHVHLcvQX9a0PPlVQ9BN4wbQszuNxiQtAEHo0ecFEZrcARmyFy/s4000/20230713_105123.jpg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="3000" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5GD0ZXJ35dzV0v7oJF-zm8a8SD8mh6eI2XKPJTE7dQvNeq8eqfk3sK40kNNkAsvIn_beq8UAS4IE1Z8iGNj0qDE_X9d0G9GVkgo7BLJIfF17rxprWfgdsJc8aFlNskTen-2ywPQsAd6FHVHLcvQX9a0PPlVQ9BN4wbQszuNxiQtAEHo0ecFEZrcARmyFy/s320/20230713_105123.jpg" width="240" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">The author</td></tr></tbody></table><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">I just finished reading a book called Matkalaukkalapsuus by Lotta-Sofia Saahko which tells stories of five people who have grown up in different cultures during their lives. I started this blog in order to write about cultural differences so when I saw a book written about cultural differences I wanted to read it right away. I enjoyed reading the book a lot and it lit up strong emotions many times.</div><p></p><p style="text-align: justify;">I could relate many times even though I have lived suitcase life mostly during my adult life. Therefore I haven't had the identity battle where I am from, like the people in the book. Having solid roots in Finland has given me a different perspective to adapt to a new place. The book gave examples how moving to a new country can give a chance to reinvent yourself by being more outgoing and social like Nicholas. Or moving to a new place can lead to an isolation which happened to Karoliina. Might be surprising that a person who has Finnish parents and speaks Finnish might feel like a foreigner in Finland. Especially I like how many anecdotes with details were connected to point out cultural differences. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">There was some story lines which I was hoping to be elaborated more. For example Karoliina had eating disorder but I was wondering how did she actually got hold of it. Mother of Shuichi highlighted the importance of studies but Shuichi finally ended up choosing a career where the good grades do not have that big importance. I wonder how that battle was between mother and her son.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Even though all the stories are connected to Finland I believe that anyone who is interested in cultural differences, wants to understand better foreigners living their home country or has themself lived abroad would enjoy reading the book. After finishing this book I would be interested to read the suitcase lifestyle story of the author called Koti kulttuurien välissä.</p>Juho Juvonenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01008801297613002279noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-181586555331495607.post-72395982415669154122023-06-30T07:22:00.001+03:002023-07-13T10:37:21.194+03:00Holiday in Kuopio<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEingNb2fP_IMzO29OUlkIfdH2gOWn9IAdXRPJ9nENZEtQcHiXgYjC-Ev2Ln8uYxJESzzFXFdz2jjt4wqxmwi2VyZ9RyJ0Tabt7omLyUgSHB9ftoz7c7-nvNIj81sfOYywpcKQazglJt2jwnjWjQy3T0uf6qz7uS3zspJ5Cc7y24E8VPFtZ9ZFO3EhPcj3ST/s4000/20230621_113110.jpg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3000" data-original-width="4000" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEingNb2fP_IMzO29OUlkIfdH2gOWn9IAdXRPJ9nENZEtQcHiXgYjC-Ev2Ln8uYxJESzzFXFdz2jjt4wqxmwi2VyZ9RyJ0Tabt7omLyUgSHB9ftoz7c7-nvNIj81sfOYywpcKQazglJt2jwnjWjQy3T0uf6qz7uS3zspJ5Cc7y24E8VPFtZ9ZFO3EhPcj3ST/s320/20230621_113110.jpg" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">View from Tahko</td></tr></tbody></table><p style="text-align: justify;">It had been about 4 years since I last time visited my home city Kuopio. The more you earn the bigger tax percentage. Progressive taxes are considered fair but unmotivating for high earners to work extra hours. For example in health care sector high earning doctors do not need to work full time to make decent living and many doctors prefer to decrease working hours when their income gets high enough. But in the same time nurses are complaining about their low salary. For example Helsingin Sanomat published <a href="https://www.hs.fi/hyvinvointi/art-2000009519109.html">an article</a> about a couple who both are nurses and how they are unhappy about their income level in Helsinki. A nurse might get paid 2 500 EUR/month in gross. which means 2 000 EUR/month net salary. In Finland you can reach the top 20 % earning level with 5 000 EUR/month gross salary which means net salary 3 300 EUR/month (<a href="https://www.is.fi/asuminen/art-2000006048763.html">Iltasanomat 2021</a>). Basically if you are a household where both are earning below average salary you're doing financially better than a household with a single top 20 % earner. Though if the top 20 % earner lives with a job seeking unemployed person the job seeking person gets social benefits which are about 500 EUR/month. In conclusion the progressive taxation keeps the income gap between the working people small.</p>Juho Juvonenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01008801297613002279noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-181586555331495607.post-19491619997873678612023-03-30T22:29:00.001+03:002023-03-30T22:31:01.776+03:00Four seasons<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhfrb6zmPISf_4xbTxLj1mmzFNNSCd6yhZHuk-wuSKgZT4oIjOvTcXfgBm0BzDgQm3Pi-A50L1SGCdCcieDTH9nGCn0hJGAkp9cEuVyWSSwFOs9ZkUKCFn0dNRK0fp1_23nv4L5dQ8MqRvZePhZ7rbQG-NeoFzmqqadWxZIaKlqUAUxvJDpE2ubXjNpg/s4160/IMG_20160812_165818.jpg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2336" data-original-width="4160" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhfrb6zmPISf_4xbTxLj1mmzFNNSCd6yhZHuk-wuSKgZT4oIjOvTcXfgBm0BzDgQm3Pi-A50L1SGCdCcieDTH9nGCn0hJGAkp9cEuVyWSSwFOs9ZkUKCFn0dNRK0fp1_23nv4L5dQ8MqRvZePhZ7rbQG-NeoFzmqqadWxZIaKlqUAUxvJDpE2ubXjNpg/s320/IMG_20160812_165818.jpg" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Beach of Casteldefells nearby Barcelona</td></tr></tbody></table><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="text-align: justify;">By living and traveling in different countries in Europe I have realized that there is not a place in Europe with perfect weather around the year. For me summer is too hot in Spain. Sometimes in Finland the winter doesn't seem to end during the spring. The winter is cold in Poland but winter activities are not available in close proximity everywhere and the fall is very dark in Finland. I like that the seasons change and you can do different activities in different seasons.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;">If could live in a different place each season. During the winter I would like to live somewhere with snow in order to practice winter activities like skiing, skating and playing ice hockey outside. For example high mountains in Europe and Finland would be good places to stay. During the summer I would also prefer high mountains and Northern Europe in order to avoid extreme heat. Staying by the water would be also nice during the summer months to be able to swim and play beach volley. the wind by the water also keeps the mosquitos away. Southern Europe would be nice during the spring and fall as then there is not too hot and you can enjoy the outdoor activities like playing football, hiking in nature or cycling.</p>Juho Juvonenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01008801297613002279noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-181586555331495607.post-2718888306592182192023-02-28T16:03:00.002+02:002023-03-30T22:29:19.126+03:00City center of Helsinki is dying<p style="text-align: justify;">Last year there has been discussion in the Finnish media that people are not anymore spending time in the center of Helsinki. For example you can find <a href="https://www.hs.fi/kaupunki/art-2000009203154.html">empty comenrcial space</a> in the previously busy shopping streets of Helsinki. Businesses have also reported about the shrinking amount of customers. After the pandemia many office workers can work at home and don't have a need to go their office in the center of Helsinki.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">I have lived 4 years in the capital area and I had all the time easy access to the center as I have lived just 200 meters from a train stop that takes you to the center of Helsinki in about 25 minutes. I am not going to Helsinki center every month. I can easily do necessary shopping in the big shopping mals which are closer. Especially during the rainy days and cold winter months shopping mals are much more comfortable than streets of the center. The reason for me to go to the center of Helsinki is to eat in a special restaurant or attend culture activities. Many are saying that making parking and driving in the downtown of Helsinki difficult has made people not so keen on going to the center. As I don't own a car that has not been the reason for my seldom visits to the center.</p>Juho Juvonenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01008801297613002279noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-181586555331495607.post-15082500154775188312023-01-27T19:37:00.002+02:002023-01-27T19:38:33.473+02:00How to improve sleep<p style="text-align: justify;">As I have gotten older I have started to value more and more quality sleep. I have also watched few self development personalities giving their tips for a good sleep. Many people seem to be proud addicts of coffee but <a href="http://parmvoo.blogspot.com/2020/07/benefits-of-caffeine-free-life.html">I don't drink coffee</a> at all and I believe that avoiding caffeine helps me to also sleep better. Here my list that I try to follow most of the days to assure a good sleep.</p><p>1. Go to sleep and wake up around same time every day</p><p>2. Wear socks at night to keep feet warm</p><p>3. Have a pillow between legs to make sleeping on the side comfortable</p><p>4. No alcoholic drinks in the evening</p><p>5. Drink only minimal amount in the evening to avoid the urge to visit toilet at night</p><p>6. Have a completely dark room. A room without windows would be ideal.</p><p>7. Do enough physical activity during the day</p><p>8. No napping during the day because it makes sleeping at night more difficult</p><p><br /></p>Juho Juvonenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01008801297613002279noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-181586555331495607.post-69834604785861475552022-12-29T19:35:00.003+02:002022-12-29T19:35:40.834+02:00Top posts 2021 - 2022<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgESKmhE_GYUxfgH6BuBVHH2uH3Mo7p-76ThqbaKAzulZlo03oOWT3D0nlOTTduunx3_rs1Lz73uIv2a9W9vqLChjDSvQLStLjwdQpe8oGMZ4ItfgqiL_3mum7katLlnjqdNPVAem2b70yT6hon6HHCIm7TrajicJmqSiOq-MFkuVHKAb2eXydBlXxdkg/s4000/20220708_121243.jpg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3000" data-original-width="4000" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgESKmhE_GYUxfgH6BuBVHH2uH3Mo7p-76ThqbaKAzulZlo03oOWT3D0nlOTTduunx3_rs1Lz73uIv2a9W9vqLChjDSvQLStLjwdQpe8oGMZ4ItfgqiL_3mum7katLlnjqdNPVAem2b70yT6hon6HHCIm7TrajicJmqSiOq-MFkuVHKAb2eXydBlXxdkg/s320/20220708_121243.jpg" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Palace on the isle in Warsaw</td></tr></tbody></table><br /><p>It has been two years since the previous top posts were listed so it is time to make a new list.</p><p>1. My dream has been to learn a front flip and back flip. The last time I tried to learn front and back flip was in Georgia 2015 but my training was interrupted by the floods that destroyed the gym where I was training. Now 7 years later on last Thursday I landed my first front flip on a mattress on the 9th training session. Doing the front flip on the butt felt comfortable but I had some fear to land on my feet. After having the instructor to hold me to land on my feet, I got over the fear and managed to land on my feet on my own. Once I got the first landing soon I managed to land the front flip on my feet three times in row. Next it is time to start working on the back flip.</p>Juho Juvonenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01008801297613002279noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-181586555331495607.post-17910839777143115732022-09-20T22:02:00.002+03:002022-09-20T22:03:14.604+03:00Holiday 2022<p>Here one photo from each city I visited during my last summer holiday</p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; In this post I'm going to compare the experience in their different price category hotels. In each hotel I stayed in a room which was for three people. Ibis budget is 1-star hotel, Ibis is 2-star hotel and Novotel is a 4-start hotel.</span></div><p style="text-align: justify;">Surprisingly the room of Ibis budget was the biggest and it was the only place where you could find place to sit for three people. Three stools were available but in other higher class hotels a sofa was converted to a bed so then only one chair was available for having a seat. The loud ventilation in Ibis Budget stood out negatively and many might find sleeping difficult with the loud humming. Also the overall look of the room was cheap compared to Novotel and Ibis. All the hotel rooms were clean and in good shape. In Ibis budget you didn't get a hand towel beside the towel for having a shower.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">In every hotel you could also buy a breakfast for about 10 euros. There was a remarkable difference between the breakfast served in Novotel and Ibis Budget. The breakfast served in Novotel had at least 3 times more options available than in Ibis Budget. The biggest difference between Ibis and Novotel was the breakfast and more spacious shower and toilet of Novotel. Novotel had a small gym so I managed to get a workout done.</p>Juho Juvonenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01008801297613002279noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-181586555331495607.post-62437037009317084442022-07-16T22:50:00.005+03:002022-08-06T08:49:48.621+03:00Ekstraklasa First League of Poland<p></p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1G6vxmLee3F2p5Q_WPwJgFMvv1WBwaC8Iq8Tj22ZoXuFbzdh914jRzQDRP_yi9Olhmpl3m7iYNrpRT5wE-zWM5OY4bYqX8IRDclMNkZO-leLU_elLTXR2p4BxKuV72jr8L7421bOyekVhFm6r2RmtEiGfEzHCF8SM6aLyI54RgvweYXjY3rsLMiBWHQ/s4000/20220716_160442.jpg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3000" data-original-width="4000" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1G6vxmLee3F2p5Q_WPwJgFMvv1WBwaC8Iq8Tj22ZoXuFbzdh914jRzQDRP_yi9Olhmpl3m7iYNrpRT5wE-zWM5OY4bYqX8IRDclMNkZO-leLU_elLTXR2p4BxKuV72jr8L7421bOyekVhFm6r2RmtEiGfEzHCF8SM6aLyI54RgvweYXjY3rsLMiBWHQ/s320/20220716_160442.jpg" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Stadion Miejski</td></tr></tbody></table><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Today I went to see Polish First League match in Poznan. Home team had a loud group of supporters chanting through the match eventhough home team didn't perform well. I believe they had about 1 000 fans singing the full match. The atmosphere was good eventhough most of the seats were empty.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://parmvoo.blogspot.com/2019/05/the-football-matches-i-have-seen-abroad.html">Here</a> listed my previous matches seen abroad</div><p></p>Juho Juvonenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01008801297613002279noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-181586555331495607.post-35385768869267707742022-06-28T21:21:00.002+03:002022-08-06T08:43:35.534+03:00Tampere<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_UjXrLpGRBwQq4RsIxtXwH1oNa-_kpVVZelnvCuEbKXXDknt4fQPNULn_xr2kGEwkZsmdp2A4JJvGeomPLxyJp5o8IyIR0tcUQ8WZF36AaEIjfU8h7STPukIrby7f3XPl8nXAZtU2-XH56SQha-ltPRjOPhvDwCOwsqPlIlAC4xg4qLoE9Vl-nnhjUA/s4000/20220608_171254.jpg" style="display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; padding: 1em 0px; text-align: center;"><img alt="" border="0" data-original-height="3000" data-original-width="4000" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_UjXrLpGRBwQq4RsIxtXwH1oNa-_kpVVZelnvCuEbKXXDknt4fQPNULn_xr2kGEwkZsmdp2A4JJvGeomPLxyJp5o8IyIR0tcUQ8WZF36AaEIjfU8h7STPukIrby7f3XPl8nXAZtU2-XH56SQha-ltPRjOPhvDwCOwsqPlIlAC4xg4qLoE9Vl-nnhjUA/s320/20220608_171254.jpg" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Tallipiha</td></tr></tbody></table><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0SreWcMVnLT6K5ackmOwqSm48KxKkNYGZ0bypfB7uIYowl-GqJomnUliTKnsJZz46-OZO3dkL9P747BQtzo-4pnxrkLXIHL8VBGK5qd1km0ImDckriOB1I2Y7848l_HFYC9p0201jRnMFvLJakU5vUOVTS-Imv5V3SXsjLfHud0OD-CtIlhjgO2-LEw/s4000/20220609_172832.jpg" style="display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; padding: 1em 0px; text-align: center;"><img alt="" border="0" data-original-height="3000" data-original-width="4000" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0SreWcMVnLT6K5ackmOwqSm48KxKkNYGZ0bypfB7uIYowl-GqJomnUliTKnsJZz46-OZO3dkL9P747BQtzo-4pnxrkLXIHL8VBGK5qd1km0ImDckriOB1I2Y7848l_HFYC9p0201jRnMFvLJakU5vUOVTS-Imv5V3SXsjLfHud0OD-CtIlhjgO2-LEw/s320/20220609_172832.jpg" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Lapinniemi</td></tr></tbody></table><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">On June I visited Tampere which reminds me of my old my city <a href="http://parmvoo.blogspot.com/2014/06/street-art.html">Łódź</a> in Poland. Both cities are old industrial cities where big part of the architectural charm is created by old industrial buildings built with red bricks. Both cities have been also compared to Manchester as textile industry have been present and mills were powered by rivers. </div>Juho Juvonenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01008801297613002279noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-181586555331495607.post-20127314186975408182022-05-26T14:32:00.002+03:002022-08-06T08:43:56.592+03:00Roihuvuori park in Helsinki<p><br /></p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-idyThGjBYQPifsuSVSCjuuUOzu--U5Av3hIj-cgsE2Zc7Ol9AD0qyhgqPZhX2sRpM7mvV-uJE4LdW8sRI0dw3MjrbjktX6z7hrelI301Sl0gGVyYQk7sR-HEJerLzrPJ06uYidpdzOO3CPOfLAtgpRYN_aW3bxvPvHNJKOkVn_R7MIx5_JHGZfX9Lg/s4000/20220521_133402.jpg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3000" data-original-width="4000" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-idyThGjBYQPifsuSVSCjuuUOzu--U5Av3hIj-cgsE2Zc7Ol9AD0qyhgqPZhX2sRpM7mvV-uJE4LdW8sRI0dw3MjrbjktX6z7hrelI301Sl0gGVyYQk7sR-HEJerLzrPJ06uYidpdzOO3CPOfLAtgpRYN_aW3bxvPvHNJKOkVn_R7MIx5_JHGZfX9Lg/s320/20220521_133402.jpg" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Japanese style park in Roihuvuori</td></tr></tbody></table><br /><p></p><p style="text-align: justify;">In may the cherry trees are blossoming in Helsinki. Nearby Herttoniemi metro station is Roihuvuori park where you can find many cherry trees and many people come to the park for a picnic to enjoy the pink blossoming flowers of the cherry trees. In the same area you can find also Japanese style park divided to four different sections. I have never been to Japan but I could sense the atmosphere of Japan and enjoyed it a lot. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">I recommend also checking out Herttoniemi mansion and its surroundings by walking towards south next to the flowing water. You can also see houses of Tammisalo with their own private piers. Nowadays it is difficult to get your own plot reaching all the way to the water as coastlines are now dedicated for public use to enable everyone have a stroll by the water. The Herttoniemi mansion holds a museum inside which you can visit on Sundays.</p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEkNrlZSFE3DT3q5W3GLNK-rluZ909k7nuk3c5rswuG_c4l-bkLdAgOcclN1p7DmVdmy4bDC9jm_LQ8eU7CM2i-YiROJ5tuB6VVQ_vu-W2H-reVrKJtshz54HkbR_lrc3eNNvz0oq0IuDIBUVFnG2f4o8KDOjMv965fkRoPQdFnagi49kl0LXPlrt7mA/s4000/20220521_145815.jpg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3000" data-original-width="4000" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEkNrlZSFE3DT3q5W3GLNK-rluZ909k7nuk3c5rswuG_c4l-bkLdAgOcclN1p7DmVdmy4bDC9jm_LQ8eU7CM2i-YiROJ5tuB6VVQ_vu-W2H-reVrKJtshz54HkbR_lrc3eNNvz0oq0IuDIBUVFnG2f4o8KDOjMv965fkRoPQdFnagi49kl0LXPlrt7mA/s320/20220521_145815.jpg" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Park of the Herttoniemi Mansion</td></tr></tbody></table><br /><p>Here <a href="http://parmvoo.blogspot.com/2017/11/more-parks-of-barcelona.html">link 1</a> and <a href="http://parmvoo.blogspot.com/2016/11/parks-of-barcelona.html">link 2</a> to the posts where I'm introducing parks of Barcelona. </p>Juho Juvonenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01008801297613002279noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-181586555331495607.post-55294529574181442022022-04-09T08:39:00.003+03:002022-08-06T08:44:18.769+03:00Second season of my podcast<div style="text-align: center;"><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="215" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/3FTNsWlAf-I" title="YouTube video player" width="360"></iframe></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Season 2022 of Finnish football league Veikkausliiga started in April. I am continuing my podcast where I focus interviewing Spanish speaking football players and coaches. In the most recent episode l interviewed Álvaro Molinos the fitness coach of HJK. we spoke about physical training in football teams, myths about training and about giving physical exercise as a punishment for the players. The interview is in Spanish and includes Finnish subtitles. I have now published 17 interviews in Spanish and 1 in Finnish.</div>

One day I received a flyer with letter S without any other text. I didn't understand what the flyer was about but I liked the art work it had. I edited out the letter S and posted it here. In the picture you can see the main attractions which you can visit. There is a over 100 years old restaurant called Versalles which is surrounded with small streets with old town atmosphere. Placa Masadas is another place where you can find nice places to enjoy food and drinks. You can find also a nice park called Parc de la Pegaso which was old truck factory and old factory area Fabra i Coats. Sant Andreu de Palomar is not popular among tourists so you can find authentic Catalan atmosphere, non touristic prices and historical attractions. The neighborhood can be easily reached by Rodalies train to Sant Andreu Arenal or Sant Andreu Comtal. Other option is Red metro line 1 stop called Fabra i Puig or Sant Andreu.</div><p></p>Juho Juvonenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01008801297613002279noreply@blogger.com0
